Visualisation of Ontologies

Ontology bases are sets of binary fact types called lexons. This work presents a lexon visualisation tool that addresses the inherent size and scale of ontology bases. It facilitates the analysis of lexons by taking a well-ordered approach that provides overview and detail. Different ordering and clustering heuristics offer insights into ontology bases not explicit in text-based representations. The work also produced a data-capture method for non-technical users. The work came out of MSc research at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
